Turning the corner onto the home straight, just a few more days to go of the 10 Days of Wellness programme. I hope you’ve been enjoying finding a little time for yourself this last few days. The aim is that by making an effort to care for ourselves at the start of the festive period we will have more energy to give to others as the festivities progress.
We have also been doing some reflective activities as these can really help with understand our sense of self, which can be useful as we start thinking about our hopes and aspirations for the year ahead.
So far we have done the ‘I am’ mindmap of our character, we have also written out examples of when we have displayed those positive attributes. Next we wrote out a list of our interests and how we spend our time.
Today we are going to write out 2 different lists.
1 – a list of all the meaningful tasks and accomplishments you have made over your life! Anything that you are proud of. No matter how big or small. The purpose of this to think of what in your life you are really proud of, what makes you feel accomplished because when we tap into thinking about what we feel good about it helps us focus on what we need to be doing more of.
2 – a list of your strengths. What are you good at, in what way do you contribute to the world, what makes you, you? This is a good activity to see what really drives you in life and will form part of the overall reflection piece I’ll explain in more detail in a few days time.
The last exercise today is to spend some time listening to a song. The song is called Blessed We Are by @peiabird which you can find on Spotify/Apple Music/YouTube. Just lay down on the sofa, close your eyes and listen to this beautiful song and it’s words.
Blessed we are. 🤍
