We are half way into our 10 Days of Wellness programme. How are you feeling? Have you committed to all the activities or are you dipping in and out? It’s ok if you’ve only done a few tasks, and if you haven’t started yet but want to get involved just head back to my Day 1 post and start there.

On day 5 we focus on self-care. So today we aim to do the following 3 tasks.
1 – take a 30 minute walk outdoors today. Do this mindfully without you phone. Just enjoy nature and the winter air. Maybe take the time to reflect on how these last few days have felt for you.
2 – have a bath, a nice one with candles and bubbles. If you don’t have a bath, take a long relaxing shower but follow it up with laying on the bed for 10 minutes. Use your nice products, your fancy lotions. Bathing/showering isn’t something we should consider self care, we all deserve to bathe. But making it long and luxurious is an act of self care. Don’t rush it. Enjoy this time.
3 – ok here is a big one. Tonight I invite you to go to bed without taking your phone into the bedroom. Leave it plugged in in any other place in the house, just not your bedroom. And if you can, have no alarm set. Just wake up when you wake up tomorrow. Obviously for some people the kids or pets will wake you, which is fine, but try to wake up ‘naturally’ without an alarm. Obviously if needs must then fine, but still keep the phone out the room – just turn the alarm up so you can hear it from wherever you leave it plugged in!
