On Saturday and Sunday we walked my Dad’s dogs, getting some fresh air and stretching the legs a bit. The leg aches from the home workout didn’t really subside until Sunday so that was a good 3 days of muscle soreness!
At least I can try to plan next week’s exercise better so that the leg workout won’t interfere with everything else as much.
This morning Giles and I did the arm and abs workout we missed on Friday. It was brutal. My upper body strength is shit and so I really struggled through it. Thankfully Giles didn’t find it too easy either.
I kept laughing at us huffing and puffing away as we tried to lift our own body weight, I mean, it is terrible that we found it so hard, but it can surely only get better from here.
Week one of the home workouts are completed though which feels like a decent accomplishment. Afterwards we went to Yin and got to enjoy stretching it all out. It was a lovely class and I feel feeling good afterwards as usual.
This week I have done 2 runs, 2 yoga classes, 2 long walks and 2 home circuit workouts.
A pretty decent effort for the first week of the year. Onwards and upwards…..
