Initially I booked annual leave for Friday 13th as I was due to get my tattoo finished. I had to postpone as it’s advised that you take a few days off Bikram yoga after getting a tattoo to prevent the risk of infection. Rather than cancelling my day off I decided to take it anyway and I am so glad I did. I clearly needed some rest.
I woke at 10am, and after a few jobs I had to do, I had lunch. After lunch I began to nap on the sofa with Clifford balled up on my lap. By this point I’d only been awake for 4 hours.
I felt super tired so decided to get into bed for a little while and ended up napping until 4pm.
Lucy (a friend I initially met through yoga) and I had agreed to practice the 6pm class together before going to her house to catch up and make a lovely vegan dinner. So time was running out for getting my run in before class.
I managed a 2Km loop round the block and just got to class in time. The practice was a bit cool, the temperature in the studio has been a bit variable this year, but in some ways it was nice to take it a bit easier as I approach the half way point of my challenges!
The happiness highlights of the day were running in frilly long socks, practicing yoga with friends, buying a llama shopping bag, making a yummy vegan dinner and having a long-overdue catch up with my darling friend Lucy.
It was so satisfying to go to bed feeling like I had nourished myself physically and emotionally.
Yay
