When I woke up on Tuesday morning I planned to go to the gym to do some weights, but I couldn’t find my gym card as it’s been so long since I last used it.
I searched around for it for a while but eventually gave up looking and figured I’d look for it later in the day and attempt to go then.
Having had a bit of a look for it I found a few other things I needed to sort out for work and ended up having SUCH a productive day. I did so many admin jobs that have been on my to-do list for a while and it felt great to get them done.
I found my gym card, tucked away in a handbag I haven’t used recently, and at the end of the day I went and did a weight conditioning session focussing on my legs and glutes. It’s been literally months since I lifted weights and it felt fabulous.
By the end of the 70 minutes or so of working out I decided to do a short, slow uphill run on the treadmill for 15 minutes. On completion my legs felt pretty knackered!
Getting back to weight training has been a year long procrastination but I haven’t felt as motivated as I am now.
Onwards and upwards.
