On Sunday I ran a 10Km trail run with Steve, my 4th medal winning race this year. In fact I also did a virtual run in April so I have5 medals this year so far.
After a tough week, and just 4 hours sleep on Saturday night, I didn’t have high hopes.
Yet, it was one of my favourite runs in recent memory. Off road, in nature, weather ok (cold to start but good for running), with a running buddy (thanks Steve) and perhaps because I have done some training the last few weeks I found it pretty enjoyable and not too difficult.
I finished it in 1:08:01 which is just what it is. I didn’t run for an amazing time, just to get round and to actually enjoy the process means so much more to me than the time.
This 66 day challenge is proving to be a real positive in my life so far. Maybe I am beginning to see an overall shift as my experience shows me that once I start making positive changes in my life, I can’t seem to help but
make more positive changes in other aspects of my life.
