At yesterday’s yoga class I saw one of my friends and we decided to go to yoga together this morning too. It was a challenging 90 minute class and another reminder of how I need to do more exercise in the mornings so that I don’t feel like such a lump of concrete.
I text my friend about 45 minutes before the class was due to start and had some hope she would bail on it, but as she didn’t I felt compelled to go to. Feeling like I might let someone down is as good as any motivation for me, although doesn’t help me much with solo exercise ventures!
Then this evening I spent some time making my running plan for the next 6 weeks to take me up to the half marathon I am doing on 24th September, then I headed out for a run. Within the first 5 minutes my Garmin ran out of battery so I couldn’t monitor my time or distance, but the aim was to run for 35 minutes. I think it was actually 30 minutes or just over based on the time I started the watch to run and the time I checked the moment I got home. I ran 5Km or so.
I am pleased that this week has got off to a good start exercise wise, I’ve also done a lot of work admin I needed to do today and yesterday so I feel more on top of things as a whole. This generally makes me feel good in myself and more organised.
My plan for tomorrow is to do the long run I won’t be able to do at the weekend and a hot flow class. So, it’s now time for bed so I can get up and at it in the morning.
