I went to the gym at lunch today for interval training. My last few runs have been excellent, and so there was a bit of me that was anxious that I’d struggle.
I walked for 5 minutes, ran for 5 mins at 9.5Km/h, 5 mins at 10Km/h, then did 5 sets of intervals, these were as follows:
1 min @ 11, 2 mins @ 9.5
1 min @ 11.2, 2 mins @ 9.5
1 min @ 11.5, 2 mins @ 9.5
1 min @ 11.8, 2 mins at 9.2
1 min @ 12.0, 2 mins at 9.2
Then 5 mins at 10.0, 5 mins at 9.5 and 5 minute walking to cool down.
Weirdly I kind of enjoyed it and feel like I have taken a bit of a turn with my running! Finally.
