Yesterday was a long day. I woke in Torbay and immediately got up, changed and went out for a 2Km run. I mentioned before that I am not a morning person, but I actually did it. I got up and ran in the morning, before work. Who even knew this was possible?!
I suppose that not being at home helped. Not being in a nice warm familiar bed with the cat snuggled up. Whatever the reason I realise that I need to give morning running a chance. So, my plan for the next week is to make as many of my runs in the morning as possible.
After the lovely little run I worked for the morning and then had a 5 hour drive back into London, When I got back the last thing I felt like was yoga, but it had to be done as there was only the one class left of the day.
The class was a candlelight music 75-minute class, as it was the music class I psyched myself up to go as it is quite fun and relaxing and feels like it isn’t too long. Turns out that the speakers weren’t working so there wasn’t music in the end which meant digging deep to find the energy to get through it. It was tough, but not the worst class I’ve done this week.
My mood felt pretty low though. Perhaps the long day in the car with too much thinking time, or the early start, or just being tired from working out everyday. I’m kind of looking forward to the day that this challenge begins to actually feel good.
